Asiana Airlines announced Monday that it plans to sue San Francisco TV station KTVU-TV for broadcasting racially offensive names for the four pilots on the 777 that crash-landed earlier in July in San Francisco, according to the Associated Press.

Asiana Airlines and KTVU-TV did not immediately respond to TheWrap's request for comment.

An anchor read the names on air Friday alongside a posted graphic. She then apologized after the break, as did a colleague later in the evening. You can see the original video in the link below.

Asiana has decided to sue KTVU-TV to "strongly respond to its racially discriminatory report" that disparaged Asians, Asiana spokeswoman Lee Hyomin told the AP. She said the airline will likely file suit in U.S. courts.

The National Transportation Safety Board also apologized, saying a summer intern erroneously confirmed the offensive names. The origin of the fake names remains unknown.

Here are the names as reported by KTVU-TV: Captain Sum Ting Wong, Wi Tu Lo, Ho Lee Fuk and Bang Ding Ow.
